The old officers' mess was built during WWII, with some original art by German painters. Presently it has 15 rooms without bathroom, and one
suite, the latter used to be the rooms of the commander of the base. During the summer it will be refurbished, with consideration for the original style. When finished it will end up with 12 rooms with en-suite
bathroom, 8 small, 3 large, and of course the commander's lodgings.
It has a bar, a lounge and a large dining-room, and is frequently used for weddings and other major events. You will understand why when you see
it.
When the base was expanded three more building with officers' accommodation were added. In each of the three there is 11 cosy rooms with en-suite bathroom and wc.
All rooms have 28" wide-screen TV and their own DVD-player.
